Technological evolution is radically transforming specialized training as the introduction of virtual reality (VR) revolutionizes the way professionals learn and refine their skills. This is particularly evident in the medical field, especially in the rapidly expanding branch of aesthetic medicine, which caters to an increasingly broad patient audience.

Creating Strong Skills for a Growing Sector

For this reason, a growing number of recent medical graduates decide to pursue a career in aesthetic medicine. Recognizing this need, we at Dive have supported the Humanitas Consortium in taking postgraduate education to a new level: by transferring the skills of experienced doctors into an immersive teaching engine “Dive!” we created the “Dive! Aesthetic Medicine” module specifically dedicated to fillers, offering students an immersive experience that transcends the boundaries of the traditional classroom.

This innovative approach to training has been experimented within a Second Level Master’s program in collaboration with LUMSA and has redefined traditional learning methods by combining academic excellence with the latest technological frontiers. A synergy that has made it possible to develop a cutting-edge training program capable of fully immersing students in a virtual surgical environment where they can safely and effectively practice and perfect the techniques of lip filler injection.

What’s New in “Dive! Aesthetic Medicine”

The training module resulting from the collaboration stands out for several innovative features:

Immersive Realism: Students are immersed in a carefully designed virtual surgical environment that faithfully reproduces the operating room, offering an unprecedented learning experience.
Advanced Interaction: Through the use of the ‘Oculus Quest’ device, students can interact in real-time with virtual surgical tools, improving hand-eye coordination and the precision of injections.
Immediate Feedback: The system provides students with real-time visual and auditory feedback as well as a score based on accuracy and speed, allowing for iterative learning aimed at continuous improvement.
Customization of Difficulty Level: The module offers various levels of difficulty, from the basic level with complete guidance to the advanced level without support, allowing students to progress at their own pace and ability.
