Kairos Power is leading the charge in nuclear innovation with its small modular reactors (SMRs), which use molten fluoride salt as a coolant instead of traditional water-cooling systems. These reactors are smaller and more flexible, offering safety benefits over conventional reactors. Last year, Kairos became the first company in 50 years to receive a permit from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to build a new type of nuclear reactor, marking a major milestone for the industry.
