Go-Dive.net does not process sensitive user data, and the personal data requested in registration forms are optional and require authorization from the community administration for processing and publication within the dedicated sections in the ‘User Profile.’ Our servers are located in Italy; registering on the website/community constitutes the user’s consent to collect, transfer, and store data on these servers. Go-Dive.net provides both free and paid content to users and reserves the right to display targeted advertising banners on the same pages where such content is provided.

Third-party advertising providers may inject cookies into users’ devices to monitor browsing habits for targeted advertising purposes. Go-Dive.net ensures that you have the option to accept or reject cookies and provides information on how to disable those you don’t prefer. However, technical limitations prevent us from controlling all cookies installed by third parties. Primary Purpose of Personal Data Processing

User data is collected to enable the Owner to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, respond to requests or executive actions, protect their rights and interests (or those of Users or third parties), detect fraudulent or malicious activities, as well as for the following purposes: Spam Protection, Statistics, Interaction with social networks and external platforms, Registration and authentication, Contacting Users, and sending messages, Managing user databases, Heat mapping and session recording, Displaying content from external platforms, and Managing tags.

Go-Dive.net provides free and paid content to users through the thematic website www.go-dive.net. Access to the website (excluding the courses section) is free for both registered and unregistered users.

Unless otherwise specified, all data required by this Application is mandatory. If the User refuses to provide it, Go-Dive.net may be unable to provide the Service. In cases where some data is indicated as optional, Users are free to refrain from providing such data, without this affecting the availability or operation of the Service.

In addition to content, Go-Dive.net hosts non-intrusive, “targeted” and “personalized” advertising banners on its website pages. This provision of advertising space is a source of income for Go-Dive.net and represents the legitimate business interest under Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f) of EU Regulation 679/2016. Therefore, by fulfilling information obligations through this detailed and concise notice, Go-Dive.net does not assume user consent for certain profiling activities carried out by third parties, representing the legitimate business interest. Denying consent would preclude the company from generating economic support, which is part of its profit and primary purpose.

Targeted advertising provided by third parties is the result of anonymous profiling of user preferences, exclusively for the technical use of profiling cookies provided by third parties, which are used by Go-Dive.net’s contractual partners to gather information about user browsing. Users always have the right not to be profiled by using technical tools and software installable on their devices, as described in our cookie policy LINK. Go-Dive.net retains the user’s IP address and the choices made by the user regarding profiling/marketing consent for 2 (two) years to keep track.

Therefore, by fulfilling information obligations through this detailed notice and the concise notice, and by allowing users to control cookie management, Go-Dive.net does not assume user consent for profiling activities carried out by third parties. Denying consent would preclude the company from generating the forms of economic support that constitute part of the profit and primary purpose of the business.

In the cases outlined in this notice, processing related to indirect profiling activities for targeted advertising is indispensable for the execution of the contract and pursues primary purposes included in the definition of “legitimate interest” under the Regulation.

Go-Dive.net does not exclude access to its content for users who do not wish to be subject to profiling activities and provides informative tools to exclude such treatments (LINK).

Except for cookies that track user consent, Go-Dive.net sets the expiration of its cookies to 90 (ninety) days after the user’s last visit.

Users are free to use the site while limiting some cookies and, through browsers and devices “screened” by third-party extensions, limiting most of them. The data will be processed exclusively with the support of computer or electronic means and in a way that guarantees the security and confidentiality of the data, as described in this notice. The data is kept for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected: for statistical activities, interaction with the website and social services, and the functioning of the portal.

User data voluntarily provided (email/nickname) is processed and stored for the entire duration of the relationship or until the user requests its deletion. Go-Dive.net usually sets the expiration of its cookies to

90 (ninety) days from the user’s last visit.

Technical and navigation data of unregistered users are stored for 60 (sixty) days and then deleted.

 

Data Storage Location

Go-Dive.net uses server spaces physically located in Italian territory and, therefore, does not transfer data abroad or outside the EU economic area. Some third parties on the website may transfer data to the United States based on specific decisions of the European Union and the Italian Data Protection Authority (Decision 1250/2016 “Privacy Shield” – here is the Italian Data Protection Authority’s information page).

 

Types of Processing and Sensitive Data

Go-Dive.net does not perform processing operations on personal data defined as “sensitive” (personal data suitable for revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious, philosophical, or other beliefs, political opinions, membership of parties, trade unions, associations, or organizations of a religious, philosophical, political, or trade union nature, as well as personal data suitable for revealing health and sex life) or “judicial.” Go-Dive.net processes data anonymously or pseudonymously. Users are not required to provide their real personal information at the time of registration on the website or for browsing the site without registration.

 

Details on Data Processing, Transfer to Third Parties, and Services Used

User data is transmitted to third parties under contract:

to companies that perform outsourcing activities on behalf of the Data Controller, including IT technicians who manage the websites and related electronic communication infrastructures necessary for this, appointed as Data Processors;

to companies responsible for sending thematic newsletters;

in anonymous form to Google regarding statistical analysis services (Analytics) and advertising (DFP) Google Analytics with anonymized IP (Google Inc.) This Google Analytics integration anonymizes your IP address. The anonymization works by shortening the IP address of Users within the member states of the European Union or in other signatory countries to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.;

In general, third parties may be able to process the following anonymous user data:

  • date and time of connection;
  • IP address of the device browsing the site;
  • user location;
  • browser used by the user;
  • type of device used by the user;
  • browsing data

 

User Database Management

These services allow the Owner to build user profiles based on an email address, name, or any other information provided by the User to this Application, as well as track User activities through statistical features. This Personal Data may also be merged with publicly available information about the User (such as social network profiles) and used to build private profiles that the Owner can view and use to improve this Application.

Some of these services may also allow scheduled sending of messages to the User, such as email based on specific actions taken on this Application.
